Together, we’ll capture the color and flavor of the season through two hands-on projects: naturally fermented vegetables and a tested water-bath canning recipe. You’ll explore the science behind safe food preservation, learn how to select trustworthy recipes, and gain the confidence to keep preserving your own garden harvest or farmers-market finds at home.
Whether you’re completely new to preserving or simply want to sharpen your skills, this welcoming workshop will guide you through each step in a relaxed, supportive farm setting.
During your day in the farm kitchen, you’ll:

π« Learn the differences between fermenting, pickling, and water-bath canning
π§ Discover how salt, brine, beneficial bacteria, temperature, and time work together during fermentation
