🌱 Piney Woods Farm Discovery Days 🐝
Discovery Days are hands-on farm experiences designed for curious children ages 6–14. Each stand-alone class invites students to explore science, agriculture, nature, and traditional skills through meaningful projects and real experiences on the farm.
Families may register for one class or attend the entire series. No previous farm experience is needed—just curiosity, shoes made for exploring, and a love of learning by doing!
🐑 March 17 — From Fleece to Fiber🧶
Students will follow wool’s remarkable journey from sheep to finished fiber. They will meet the farm’s sheep, examine raw and prepared fleece, and experience some of the traditional skills used to transform wool into useful and beautiful textiles
Program Details
- Time: 9:00–11:30 AM
- Ages: 6–15
- Cost: $25 per student
- Group Rate: $23 per student for groups of 10 or more registered together
- Parents: Parents must stay with children at all times and join in the fun!
- Enrollment: Open enrollment; register for one class or the complete series
- Optional Picnic Lunch: Families are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy lunch on the farm after class.🧺
Discovery Days give children the opportunity to get their hands in the soil, meet farm animals, practice heritage skills, ask questions, and experience the wonder of the living world.
This program is open to children not currently enrolled in our Living Land Homeschool Enrichment Program, and it’s also offered as a bonus value-add class for families already part of the program.
